Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto

The brand-new national stadium was the centrepiece of the 2011 All-Africa Games, hosting the opening and closing ceremonies along with all track and field athletics events. Built specifically for the Games, the Zimpeto complex also housed the temporary swimming pools and served as the main hub for spectators and media.

Estádio da Machava

The largest stadium in Mozambique at the time of the Games, Estádio da Machava served as the primary venue for football matches. Originally built in the 1960s and renovated for the Games, it hosted group-stage matches, semi-finals, and the gold-medal football finals.

Maputo City Circuit

A closed road circuit through the streets of downtown Maputo served as the venue for cycling road races, time trials, and the cycling and running legs of the triathlon. The course passed many of the city's landmark buildings and offered a unique urban racing experience.
